Claude Lemieux was a fierce and highly competitive forward who became a fan favourite during his time with the Montreal Canadiens. Known for his physical style, relentless work ethic and ability to perform in important games, Lemieux played a key role in Montreal’s 1986 Stanley Cup championship.

During his Canadiens career, Lemieux recorded 139 points (66 goals, 73 assists) in 269 regular-season games. His most memorable moment came during the 1986 playoffs, when he scored 10 goals and 18 points in 20 games as Montreal captured the Stanley Cup.

Lemieux’s combination of toughness, determination and clutch scoring made him an important part of the Canadiens during the 1980s and helped establish him as one of hockey’s most recognizable playoff performers.
