Jack Morris joined the Toronto Blue Jays in 1992 and played a major role in one of the greatest seasons in franchise history. As Toronto’s ace, Morris went 21–6 with a 4.04 ERA, earning his first and only 20-win season with the Blue Jays.
Morris was especially valuable in the postseason, helping Toronto capture its first World Series championship in 1992. In the World Series against the Atlanta Braves, he won Game 2 and provided veteran leadership to a talented Blue Jays pitching staff.
His time in Toronto lasted just one season, but it ended with a World Series title, making Jack Morris an important part of Blue Jays history.
